NEWS: Old Ruins share their love of Diablo!

Swiss label Doc Gator Records have announced that come 15th September, they will be distributing a new album “Always Heading East” from Gelsenkirchen Black Metal formation Old Ruins. The follow up to their well received 2020 released self titled EP runs to eight fresh cuts whose lyrical orientation is based on the cult video game Diablo. The band have shared a teaser for the record rather than a full song but it looks as though two from that debut EP have ascended to the album in “Tristram“, “The Desert Sands” and “Risen From The Grave“.

The band comment: “The lyrics refer lyrically to the Videogame classic Diablo from Blizzard. The dark atmosphere of the game has always fascinated the band members. It’s hard to say whether the tragic story without a happy ending, or the desolate landscapes on “Always Heading East” were the main inspiration, but when you close your eyes and put the record on, you really dive into the story of the dark wanderer. Those who are not versed in the history of the video game can still immerse themselves in the dark musical world of the album and enjoy the atmospheric Black Metal sound
