NEWS: Serration kneel before the Altar?
On their third new single “Altar Of Guilt”, Canadians Serration have delivered an intensely feverish blend of Metalcore in just under two minutes capable of cleving flesh from bone. Manically technical instrumentation is met by bellowing vocals and a heavy-hitting guest feature from Sanction vocalist David Blom. It follows “Shroud of Gnarled Tongues” and “A Suicide Note in Midi Format”, which features Emma Boster of Dying Wish, from the bands upcoming album “Simulations Of Hell” out 15th September on Daze.
Diving into the lyrics of the single vocalist Cody Dewald explains: “Altar of Guilt is about worshiping materialistic items and valuing them more than themselves or others around them. Take a holiday like Black Friday or in Canada we have Boxing Day. People will trample and fight one another for 10% off a 30” flat screen tv and those same people will be in church Sunday morning wanting their sins to be forgiven. It’s a joke.”
