NEWS: Atavistia play the arsonist once more!

As if by magic, a re-recorded rendition of “Beyond the Meadows Of Fire” from Canadian Melodic Death Metal act Atavistia has has appeared ahead of the bands October European tour trek with Skalmold and Metsatoll. Curiously the band have announced that they have two albums and an EP written and are in a bind over which should be released first, suggesting that each one is a very different offering…

The band comment: “Alright everyone, the time has come! We’ve been working on this for the past few weeks now and it’s time to announce we will be re-releasing, “Beyond the Meadows of Fire.” Since we’ll be playing this song on our upcoming European tour, we agreed it would be perfect to re-release it with our modern production standards. Completely re-recorded with a few changes suited to how we play this song live. 

It was an absolute blast revisiting this track. Opening up the session from 2017 was an eye opener into how naive I was with music production at the time. 6 years of learning in the field has gone a long way to say the least! 

I’d like to give a shout out to our blasting machine Max Sepulveda for bringing the song’s rhythm section to life. I never could have imagined how real drums would sound on this track back when I first wrote it. Now it’s complete!”
