NEWS: Methedrine crawl out from the grave!
Featuring contributions from friends such as Fabione from Hobos, Mark from Eu’s Arse and Tytus, Domenico from Fulci and Samall from Slander, an album from Italian Black / Death crossover outfit Methedrine has been announced by Time To Kill Records. Titled “No Solution, No Salvation” the record follows 2018 EP “Built For Speed” from the band who formed from the ashes of 80’s Crossover D-Beat pioneers Upset Noise a year prior. Pre-orders are available over at bandcamp with “A Massgrave for my Dreams” streaming now…
Frontman Lou shares his sentiments about the track: “‘A Massgrave for my Dreams’ is a mental little film shot in Super 8 with expired films developed in a tincture of hatred, discomfort and marginalization: Nick’s blast beat breaks in and I fall towards the bottom of my darkest feelings, my memories in black and white, only to wake up among the violence of reality. The central theme of the lyrics is time, which passes too quickly, which changes perspective, which disappoints and shatters our dreams, which betrays, which pushes us towards aridity, resentment and sloth… It’s later than we think. The sudden accelerations and slowdowns of the song are a metaphor for life, Dario’s riffs and Bob’s bass are almost like a symphony orchestra, dramatic like a soundtrack, and I find myself in the middle, in the twilight of my sanity, throwing my dreams into a mass grave.”
