NEWS: Drown In Sulphur premier “Lotus”!
Eight days before the arrival of their new album “Dark Secrets of the Soul” via Scarlet Records on 12th January, Italian four piece Drown In Sulphur have released a third single in “Lotus” from it. Accompanied by a music video directed, filmed and edited by Nicola Vallarella and Andrea La Vigna it hints further at the aesthetic inspirations of the 90’s most famous vampire-themed books and movies the band cite alongside cover art illustrated by Alvaro Valverde of Av Art Ilustracion. Will it have the razor-sharp Deathcore brutality and bone-chilling 90’s Black Metal atmospheres of its predecessor “Sulphur Cvlt” as the band celebrate a decade of destruction however?
The band comment: “‘Dark Secrets of the Soul’ is an introspective journey in search of man’s spiritual elevation, taking as reference the image of the “vampire communion”, alternating anger, despair and rebellion and moving on to more fragile moments until the very final redemption”
