NEWS: Godgiven share “Diract” with their future plans!

Having shared photos of vocal recording sessions back in the summer, Budapest Hungary Alternative Metal favourites Godgiven have announced their return with a new single in “Diract“. The cut is their first since 2021 album “Not That Godly” and is accompanied by a lyric video created by Dávid Egri-Kiss (Nygmalion), the band having a grand plan for World Domination…

The band comment: “The past few hard years have filled us with so many influences and inspiration that the material of the second Godgiven record has now grown to more than a double-album. However we didn’t want to discard any worthwhile material or even drop a neverending record, so we have decided on leading it up in smaller portions via singles and EPs.

‘Diract’ is the first precursor of this album. This song is the true imprint of efficiency: we have written it in only one rehearsal and recorded it ourselves for first take, then it was mixed and mastered in a single session with zero editing, by Patrick Kremán.

The lyrics also emphasize this readiness. Today, we seemingly are sensitive about every visible problem, however have no interest in solving any of them at all. So it will never turn out how useless we are… Now we brush all the useless things aside, and all that we have left are the pure facts and acts. And a bit of blasphemy for sure… This is what the strange song title reflects.”
