Throwback: “The End Complete” by Obituary!

It’s that time of the week again. Another stroll down memory lane and as it happens, the celebration of another album from the Golden Age of Roadrunner Records. Trademark patent pending. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again because it’s true, back in the 90’s if you were in a record store and saw something by a band you’d never heard of, if they had a sick sounding name and cover art to entice, that Roadrunner Records logo was the seal of approval that had you making a purchase. Oh how the good die young when the majors come and buy them out.

So we’re going back to 21st April 1992, when American Death Metal grandfather’s Obituary were Kings. They welcomed back guitarist Allen West, who has played on their debut “Slowly We Rot“, back into the fold for third album “The End Complete” before entering the iconic Morrisound Recording Studio in Tampa Florida with Producer Scott Burns (Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura) and the rest as they say is history. The title track, a serial killers nightmarish vision made for the bands first ever music video and that got them exposure on MTV’s Headbangers Ball, you know, when that was still a thing…
