NEWS: Duhkha look for a place in the sun…

Having spent much of 2021 and 2022 playing shows with the likes of Stick To Your Guns, END and Pressure Cracks with just a  self-titled 7″ to their name, Southern Californian supergroup Duhkha who feature in their ranks members of Eighteen Visions, Seizures, Teeth, and Dangers have announced a debut album. Available on 9th August via Good Fight Music, “A Place You Can’t Come Back From” includes guest appearances from James Hart and Trevor Friedrich of Eighteen Visions in amongst no less than 11 tracks of chaotic and aggressive Metallic Hardcore. “Ictal” is the first taste of the shape of punk to come with pre-orders available here.

Bassist Keith Barney comments: “Musically, this song was very heavily influenced by the chaotic thrash of earlier Coalesce. I really wanted to lean into the weird time signatures, pauses, starts and stops and to resolve everything with a traditional 4/4 breakdown in the end. We have various types of songs on the album – but this one feels like it captures the overall idea and energy of Duhkha”.

Vocalist Cameron Miller adds: “‘Ictal’ lights the spark to the album with an immediate punch of chaos and heavy. I wanted to write a song that thematically prefaced the album, and when Keith presented the music to us, I knew it had to be the first track”.
