NEWS: Denigrate return to the Temple of Doom!
Dark, melancholy, tormented and observative, after three albums, big-time local momentum with a Finnish cover song, a mandatory hiatus and some line up changes, the return of Helsinki based Doom Metal band Denigrate has been long awaited. A growing concern since 1996 the band have delivered quality rather than quality and their fourth full length album “To the Goddess Unknown” will finally arrive on 29th November via Inverse Records. A third single from eight cuts has surfaced in “Under Ether“, so are you ready?
Vocalist Galzi Kallio comments: “This is the fastest and shortest song on the upcoming album. You could maybe call it radio friendly track. It’s made by our guitarists Sepi and Teemu with their supernaturally ethereal collaboration. We didn’t plan the album to have this kind of musical approach included but mainly just teenage-like enthusiasm and persistence of searching and finding and the joy that comes from that.
Lyrics narrate under the feminine theme of the album. They are about connection and search of meaning. They are about admiration that is longing for response, and the panic of being rejected.”
