NEWS: It’s raining meatballs in VHS land!
After taking on the World of sword and sorcery with last years “Quest For The Mighty Riff“, Canadian movie metal trio VHS return with a surprise ode to classic spaghetti westerns. Light on the Death Metal but heavy on the elements that made spaghetti western scores so powerful and unforgettable. “For a Few Riffs More” has all of those hallmarks you’d expect, from twangy guitars to harmonica and classical instrumentation but with Death Metal vocals. They’ve shared “A Grave For Every Bullet” so you can hear what it’s all about…
Main songwriter Mike Hochins has this to say about the album “Anytime we are trying to do something different it usually starts off as a challenge and before we know it we have an entire album written in whatever weird style we try to tackle. In this case I had the entire album written and thought to myself there is no way that vocals will work on this but let’s try it anyway! For some reason it did work so now we have an amalgamation of spaghetti western sensibilities and gross death metal vocals.”
