NEWS: New vocalist and shows for Party Cannon!
As they have new material in the works as well as UK and Ireland shows in the first three months of 2025, Scottish Death Metal heroes Party Cannon have taken a minute to address a line up change. After filling in at various points over the past couple of years Scordatura vocalist Daryl “Frogman” Boyce is has now been made a full time addition with Tony “Grindsnort” Reddie amicably exiting stage left.
Daryl commens.: “This has been in the works for a good few months now and now we can finally announce it! As many of you know I’ve been filling in on vocals for Party Cannon for about 2 years now and it’s been amazing getting to play to all these hardcore Party Slam fiends around the world, so when the call came asking me to join full time it was an obvious yes – and I’d just like thank the lads for putting their trust in me with this opportunity.
As we all know it’s never an easy decision when it comes to member changes in a band, especially when it’s the vocalist, but not to worry I am committed to making all the horrible noises you’ve grown to know and love while adding in some even more nauseating sounds.
I’d also like to give a massive thank you to my other bandmates in SCORDATURA, family and friends for all the support they’ve given me through all this – 2025 is already booking up pretty fast for Party Cannon so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some more insane announcements!”
Bassist Clankenstein adds “Daryl has discovered his inner low IQ freak and sold his soul to the gods of Party Slam, he has been producing the unholiest of noises for us live over the past couple of years and has already caused audible IQ loss to a large portion of the planet. It’s been a great having him fill in live for us, however once he told me Cranial Impalement was his favourite Disgorge album I decided it was only right to make him a permanent member.
In what might be the worst kept secret ever, our time with Swampman Stony has come to an end. I started this band with him, Craig and Jack a long time ago when we were 18 and he remains one of my oldest friends. We would all like to thank him for over 10 years of inhuman gutturals, tough travel itineraries and the general sacrifice it takes to be in a band like this. We wish him, Katie and Teej the best of health and are very proud of everything they’ve achieved over the past couple of years”.
Grindsnort concludes: “After over ten amazing years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to the band. Huge thanks to everyone – the crazy gigs, the laughs, and all the incredible people I’ve met along the way. It’s been a huge part of my life, and I’m grateful for every moment. As you probably already know, Daryl’s the man. He’s absolutely killing it. See you in the chippy.”
