NEWS: Fomented announce “Bitter and Miserable Beings”!
Former Savage Messiah multi instrumentalist Sy Taplin and current Ashen Crown and DeathCollector vocalist Kieran Scott have joined forces in a new project dubbed Fomented. Taking a DIY or DIE approach they have crafted everything from the writing and recording to artwork, mixing and mastering in creating half an hour of power titled “Bitter and Miserable Beings” for a 7th March release with “What Can I Change?” being the first single.
Vocalist Kieran Scott comments: “This song is about how our self fulling prophecies is self destructive behaviour and should be equally considered dangerous and a cry for help. Our music is a mirror of ourselves as human beings. The entire EP dives into the contradictions, self-harm, and self-sabotage we all face. The fear of change often leads us to stay stuck in the familiar, even when it means walking headfirst into our own failures. We hope this resonates with people who, like us, feel trapped in cycles they can’t break.”
The duo have also previewed the record to their friends in high places, their comments making for interesting reading:
Coty Garcia of Wretched Tongues: “This EP is like an M. Night Shamalan movie. I don’t know what to expect next! no gimmicks just a fun melting pot of genres!”
Guitarist Wayne Dorman from Onslaught: “I can’t stop listening to this record! It’s an absolute flawless masterpiece. 10/10”
Slugdge vocalist Matt Moss: “There’s a clarity of vision here, and what they’re seeing is brutal.“
Ol Drake of Evile: “A barrage of epic riffs and flawless, evil vocals. The death metal fan in me loves the feel.”
