NEWS: Monolicht enter the land of the giants!

Dark Metal band Monolicht, who hail from the barren lands of the North of Finland, have shared their first new material since 2019 EP “Land Of Hunger” in single “Colossus” via Inverse Records. The song is a dive into the band’s world, where northern mysticism and stories of the wilderness come to life and blends Melodic Black Metal with Doom influences in their signature style. Drawing heavily on Nordic myths and legends, the bands music creates a soundscape that transports the listener through dark forests and frozen rivers. Colossus musically taking the listener into an environment of massive, collapsing structures where power and vulnerability meet.

Guitarist Mikko Kupiainen comments: “The band’s music is a journey to the northern wilderness. Musically, there is a lot of natural melancholy, sadness and coldness. Production-wise, we wanted to keep the sound alive, so we played the song practically live without any clips or edits, and the sound engineer Tom Brooke made sure that the band’s own sound came through strongly.”
