NEWS: Denigrate step into the light!

Helsinki Finland based Doom Metal collective Denigrate have shared a music video filmed by Markus Saarela for “In The Light” in tribute to founding member, guitarist and main composer Seppo Nummela, who tragically passed away suddenly last month. The cut is one from the bands fourth album “To the Goddess Unknown” which was unveiled by Inverse Records on 29th November with the band planning to continue in his honour.

Vocalist Galzi Kallio comments: “In The Light was one of the first compositions for the album “To The Goddess Unknown” -the last individual of the album release as a music video. Also the song was the only one from the album that kept its’ work name from the beginning until completion. We wanted to make this a proper art-and-headbanging-video to underline the sheer joy of doing what we do. Huge thanks goes to Markus Saarela for capturing the moments. Though the song tells about taking and giving nothing in return, there dwells a glimpse of hope for a change at the end. This we will dedicate to the memory our key-member, the founder of Denigrate, Seppo Nummela. We’ll keep carrying the torch, don’t you worry brother!”
