NEWS: Matraque sip cola over ice in the afternoon…

Lithuanian label Ashen Tree Records have announced that they will be solely responsible for distributing a raw, atmospheric and crushing debut album in “Nature Morte” from Belarusian Sludge infused Doom Death quartet Matraque. Citing influences in Bismuth, Body Void and Primitive Man, the four piece began their journey in Minsk in the spring of 2023. The members brought their experience from previous projects such as Rowan, Televoid, krvvla, Схизма, kusto., Coat, and Łaska. Just as over time, anger and aggression transition into despair, disappointment, and depression, the band, without losing loudness and intensity, chooses corresponding forms and nuances of sound to convey their perception of reality… “Kola” is streaming as the first single with pre-orders for the 1st May release available over at bandcamp.
