NEWS: Orthodox count your blessings?

A fourth single in “Keep Your Blessings” has been cut from “A Door Left Open” ahead of its 6th June arrival via Century Media. Produced by Randy LeBoeuf (Jesus Piece, Kublai Khan, Dying Wish) the album is of course the work of Nashville Metallic Hardcore brutes Orthodox, a band who have made their name with fervent and visceral live shows that build a sense of tension and unease. Joining them for this fourth throw of the dice are a trio of household names in Brann Dailor of Mastodon, Matt McDougal of Boundaries and of course Comeback Kid frontman Andrew Neufeld…

Drummer Mike White worked with director Errick Easterday to create a story that brings that sense of unrest to life. White comments: “‘Keep Your Blessings’ has been one of my favorites since beginning the demo process for ‘A Door Left Open’. The song has a lot of interesting elements that really complement the video itself. The video grew from an early cover art concept: a car full of photos and things stolen from homes. This quickly evolved into a full story of a man who has lost the ability to do what he loves most due to old age. Errick Easterday was thankfully super interested in the concept and it evolved from there.”
