NEWS: Dephosphorus warn of the planetkiller!

Following the announcement that they will be returning to New Long Fest in Greece for the first time in eleven years, Greek forward-thinking Grinders Dephosphorus have let slip that they have a new album on the way in “Planetoktonos“. LP editions will be jointly issued by 7Degrees Records and Nerve Altar, while Selfmadegod Records will handle a compact disc version, all when the 18th July release date rolls around. The bands fifth full length album, it takes its name from a Greek word coined by the band, roughly translating to “Planetkiller” and explores science fiction and cosmology through an existential and political lens in both the lyrics and aesthetics. Several tracks are inspired by The Expanse novel series by James S.A. Corey, a near-future universe where humanity has colonized the Solar System but faces the unknown consequences of encountering alien intelligence and technology.

Mindfully forged in the positive atmosphere of Ignite Studio (Antimob, Embrace Of Thorns, Chain Cult), the album was mastered by sonic guru James Plotkin (OLD, Khanate, Conan), ensuring every detail hits with impact. It’s also adorned by artwork from Graphic No Jutsu (Planet Of Zeus, Nightrage).
