NEWS: Genus Ordinis Dei walk the path east of eden…
A concept album titled “The Land East Of Eden” about the obscure path of Caine after his exile; desperate, alone, and cast away from both God and Blood, forced to walk into a land of shadows and forgotten spirits who lead him to become the first vampire is on the horizon from Italian Symphonic Death Metal act Genus Ordinis Dei. An obscure tragedy without redemption, an endless fall into the darkness of sin, it has been preceded by “East of Eden“, a single that features the legendary Roy Khan (Conception, ex-Kamelot). Pre-orders for the 16th January release are available over at bandcamp.
Guitarist and Orchestration guru Tommy Monticelli comments: “Musically, East of Eden lays the emotional and sonic foundation of the album. Primal riffs, ritualistic drums, and a chorus melody that feels ancient and unforgettable. This track walks the line between epic storytelling and raw aggression, blending orchestral grandeur with the darker pulse of modern metal. It’s the gate opening, the fall echoing, the beginning of the exile.”
Drummer Nico Pedrali adds: “[…] there’s groove, violence, and moments of eerie tension… the heartbeat of a man who realizes exile is forever. This track marks the beginning of the fall, and I wanted the drums to make you feel every heavy step he takes into the unknown.”
