NEWS: Godeater call out the leech!

Tech-Fest survivors Godeater have announced an imminent return with a fistful of dynamite in five brand new tracks. The Scottish Death Metal act have EP “Alvorecer” waiting in the wings for a 28th November arrival and have shared cover art and first single “Leech” in evidence. As with their critically acclaimed sophomore album “Vespera” this new affair, their first with vocalist Jamie Harrison was mixed and mastered at Studio Fredman (In Flames, At the Gates, Architects) and promises to push the boundaries of their sonic potential in new and intriguing ways, while scratching the surface of a new underlying emotional complexity.

Guitarist Ross Beagan comments: “While the release of Vespera signified the end of one chapter of GODEATER, Alvorecer is very much a new beginning. We have a new line-up, new sounds to play with, a new sense of energy and a new sense of our place in the world of extreme metal.

Vocalist Jamie Harrison adds: “Playing live has always been my focus, I really loved getting back on stage for the album touring cycle, but I’m excited to get this new release out there – it has been ten years since I’ve released anything! There have been challenges – it’s a new way of working, a new style of writing, it has involved me opening up a bit more as a person. I also unfortunately experienced some health issues in the early stages of the release, but this really gave me an opportunity to think about how I was feeling about myself and the world around me, and then channel that into the lyrics.”

Guitarist and vocalist Andrew Macdonald concludes: “Vespera connected with so many people on an emotional level, we hope Alvorecer can do the same
