NEWS: Skulld escape from the void?

Describing themselves as an “Antifascist, feminist, occult death metal punk from Italy” are Skulld a band who have album “Abyss Calls To Abyss” waiting in the wings for a 30th January arrival via Time To Kill Records. That is said to be the culmination of a journey down the left hand path that began in 2019 through old school Death Metal, esoteric mysticism and radical Punk rooted activism and from that they’ve shared “The Blink” as the first single alongside a music video. Pre-orders are available over at bandcamp

The band comment: “The Blink is a sonic spell cast by two legendary figures: Circe, the sorceress, and Scylla, the abyssal monster. Enemies by fate, sisters by curse, bound by the love that turned them into eternal damnations. The song is an explosion of fury and feminine power, where magic intertwines with vengeance, and the voice becomes a storm. Through razor-sharp verses and mythological imagery, The Blink tells the tale of revenge from the betrayed, turning men into swine, words into spells, and the blink of an eye into a curse.
