NEWS: Desert Storm get lost in the echoes of the catacombs!

As it transpires Buried In Smoke Festival on Saturday 28th March at The Bullingdon in Oxford will double as a hometown album launch party for “Buried Under The Weight Of Reason” by Desert Storm. The Bloodstock survivors will be joined by Winnebago Deal, SEXTODECIMO, Slabdragger, GURT, Alunah, Froglord, Indica Blues and Antler Velvet at the event and in case you missed it, the first single “Shamanic Echoes” is now streaming. Tracked by Steve Geezer Watkins and Stuart Jones at Woodworm Studios before being mixed and mastered by Joe Clayton (Trudger, Pupil Slicer, Conjurer) at Nø Studio, the album itself will be available from 6th March 2026 on Heavy Psych Sounds.

The band comment: “Ceremonial in spirit and tribal in sound, “Shamanic Echoes” pulses with bass-heavy foundations and thunderous toms, its downtuned guitars bending into hypnotic, sludgy cadences. The middle passage drops into jazzy, syncopated territory, before swelling into an earth-shattering crescendo—cause and effect, climax and release. Lyrically, the track is steeped in ritual, plant medicine, and ancestral vision-quests: peyote, mescalito, and sacred smoke opening the gateway to higher states of being. It is both a hallucinatory trip and a sonic initiation.”
