NEWS: Re-Armed warn of the shape of things to come!
While details remain limited, Inverse Records have warned that Finnish Melodic Death Metal collective Re-Armed will be returning from the shadows in 2026 with a new album. That news is accompanied by an obligatory first single in “Ominous Penumbra” but not with any cover artwork or a release date. The song’s oppressive atmosphere and symbolism – “A dark mass with wispy tendrils, floats across the sky…” – intertwine with the concept of a shadow that is not born solely from individual darkness, but surrounds us all. “We ourselves are the greatest enemies of all living things,” the band reflects on the song’s message. It is written that the album is loosely themed around opposing forces and the ongoing struggle between them – both in the world and within the human mind.
