NEWS: Burial Path are reborn!

A meditation on transmutation, grief, and the violence of becoming, a crushing new single in “Between Soil and Sun” from Progressive Deathcore act Burial Path explores the tension between decay and rebirth, where identity is stripped down, interrogated and reforged while introducing new vocalist Maya Pobst. Powerful instrumentation collides with visceral lyricism, capturing the turmoil of confronting conformity, internalized stigma and the cost of self-realization.

To me, this track represents the process of first realizing something within you is innately different, then reflecting on what that thing is all while navigating through pushback both externally and from internal stigmatization. Everyone’s journey of self-discovery is different of course, but it’s vital to learn how to stay true to yourself and not fall back into the mold of societal expectations. Living your truth is of utmost importance, even if doing so results in marginalization or in some extreme cases, even martyrdom.”
