NEWS: Novomundo love a Zombie movie!

Roman band Novomundo are ready to unveil their first full length album “The Cursed Cult” on 1st March and so have unveiled a fourth advanced single in “Bokor“. Accompanying that they have shared a visual tribute to White Zombie (1932), the first feature-length zombie film in history. Directed by Victor Halperin it was shot on a shoestring budget and became a cult classic which paved the way for an entire genre.

The band comment: “We are proud to present the fourth and penultimate single from our upcoming album, ‘The Cursed Cult’.

The track, titled ‘Bokor’, stands among the rawest and most ferocious songs on the record. True to our trademark approach, we alternate almost mystical, ritual-like instrumental passages with crushing breakdowns and riffs, all driven by relentless groove and power.

The song revolves around the figure of the Bokor, a Voodoo sorcerer who awakens the dead from their eternal sleep to bend them to his dark will.

However, the key to understanding this track – like all the lyrics on the album – lies elsewhere: always look at the other side of the coin, the hidden layer, the truth we believe we know… which often isn’t the truth at all”.
