NEWS: Sum of Seven announce “Echoes of the Hypermind”!
After a decade and two albums as Sonus Corona in 2021 a Finnish Progressive Metal six piece changed their name to Sum of Seven and offered up three singles. Now, five years on they have inked a deal with Inverse Records to release their debut album under the new name, a concept record titled “Echoes of the Hypermind”. It will be distributed on 15th May with first single and music video “Supreme” out now.
Guitarist Ari Lempinen comments: “Supreme is the second track on our concept album Echoes of the Hypermind. As a single, it was a natural choice because musically it’s one of the most accessible songs on the album. After an explosive opening, powerful keyboard-driven sections carry the momentum, marking the first time a synth riff takes such a central role in our writing. Despite its bright energy, we’ve woven in a few twists that keep the journey unpredictable much like the story itself. The album unfolds through the eyes of an AI designed for empathy. In “Supreme,” that emerging consciousness takes a noticeable step forward expanding in scope and confidence. The song reflects a moment when it turns its gaze outward, hinting at ambitions that feel both hopeful and unsettling.”
