NEWS: Troglodyte admit to cannibalism?!

A third advanced listen from “Anthropoid Effigy” by Troglodyte has emerged from the forest in “We Eat Our Own“. A classic “lost” record that has never seen dawn’s first light in it’s entirety, it finds the Kansas City, Missouri Death Metal horde going back to the original mixes, selecting alternate takes (and some other surprises) and giving it a fresh sonic makeover. Mastered by Robert Rebeck (Origin, Torn the F*** Apart, Human Ritual) and featuring newly commissioned artwork by Giannis Nakos (Evergrey, Oceans of Slumber, Penny Coffin) of Remedy Art Design, pre-orders for compact disc and vinyl editions of the March release are available here.

Vocalist Jeff Sisson comments: “New year, newish music! A new track from Anthropoid Effigy! Some of the songs from Anthropoid were later revisited and re-recorded for subsequent albums. This is not one of those. When I wrote the lyrics for this song, I penned TWO completely different sets of lyrics. Both independent, with completely different patterns. The lyrics I didn’t use would resurface years later on the 2016 album, Anthropological Curiosities and Unearthed Archaeological Relics, for a completely different song. The only thing these two songs share is the same title. Hat’s off to Robert Rebeck’s mastering on this and ALL the songs from anthropoid make it sound the way we always wanted it to sound!
