NEWS: Warside dive into the abyss! (UPDATED!)

Having just completed a run of shows opening for Aborted in Japan, Lyon France based Brutal Death Metal act Warside have warned of a new album titled “Cognitive Extinction” waiting in the wings with single “Synthetic Abyss“. Curiously enough the credits list former Benighted drummer Kevin Paradis with recording and Thibault Bernard (Deathawaits, Monolyth, Tempt Fate) with mixing and mastering. They’re yet to confirm a label, artwork and release date but when they do… …and now they have, the date for diaries being 8th May via Gruesome Records

The band comment: “For the album, it’s the idea of the new lineup (there are only two of us left from the original EP, The Enemy Inside) that pushed us to have a rawer, more direct sound. The first single has quite personal lyrics about the damage that screens and digital technology are doing to our children’s brains and intelligence, and the decline of culture. That’s the main theme of the album.”
