NEWS: Darkthrone return from the catacombs!

It turns out, the 40th anniversary of Darkthrone will be celebrated with a new album. The self proclaimed Norse cavemen and creators of Primitive Metal are calling that “Pre-Historic Metal” with an 8th May date on the tombstone via Peaceville Records. Recorded at Chaka Khan Studios in Oslo Norway before mastering by Jack Control (Stranguliatorius, Cianide, Frozen Soul) it’s been described as a continuation of the mastery witnessed on 2024’s ‘It Beckons Us All’ with in your face guitar presence as an odyssey of Thrash, Black, Heavy and Doom Metal, The title track is now screaming with pre-orders available over at bandcamp.
