NEWS: Black Skies suffer betrayal?

Chicago Traditional Heavy Metal force Black Skies have announced they will be independently releasing a new album in “For Eternity” on 17th July. The record serves as the first work from a new line up built around mastermind, vocalist and guitarist Mark Sugar with “Aquarius Betrayed” the first evidence of what they have pieced together. Mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö (Barren Earth, Hypocrisy, Novembers Doom) pre-orders are available over at bandcamp

Band founder Mark Sugar shares: ““Aquarius Betrayed” reflects frustration at the contradiction towards previous generations who “reaped the benefits of the most socially liberated and progressive era in history, and then quickly turned their back on those values when they became inconvenient. This was also the first song that Lee (Smith, new guitarist) recorded guitar for. He’s the only member of the band I hadn’t worked with before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but his solo here is more than impressive.”
