NEWS: Atavistia warn of the woods upon the hill…

A live performance captured at Armstrong Metal Festival 2025 has been repurposed as a music video for “I skogens djup” (or “In the depths of the forest“) from Canadian Melodic Death Metal force Atavistia. It’s another advanced listen from their upcoming album “Old Gods Awaken” which is set for a 15th May arrival via Blood Blast Distribution upon which the band offer their most folk inspired material to date. There is also said to be something of a sonic evolution with this one with shorter, catchier and more direct material on offer drawing from the poisoned well of a wider sphere of influences including Black Metal with lyrics all in Swedish.
