NEWS: Arhat enter the hall of mirrors…
Kyiv, Ukraine based Death Groove Metal act Arhat have shared what is only their third single since 2024 album “Secrets of Ancient Gods” in “Sto Dzerkal” (or “One Hundred Mirrors“). It features a guest vocal appearance from Sidus Atrum, also known as Yulia Lykhotvor and was mixed and mastered in house by guitarist Anton Skrebov.
The band comment: “The new single “Sto dzerkal” is set to music by the poems of the outstanding Ukrainian poet of the sixties Vasyl Stus. The tragic fate of the artist and the piercing lines of his poetry inspired us to create this song.
In the video, we wanted to show what we thought Stus’s arrest might have looked like. The main idea that we wanted to convey with the help of the clip is that muscovy has been trying to erase our identity for more than a dozen years by destroying our artists, scientists and cultural figures. It imposes its language and worldview with fire and sword.”
