NEWS: Perpetual Paradox smell rot and decay!

On the evidence of first single “Smell the Rot” alone it appears as though London Technical Death Metal act Perpetual Paradox have got something darker, heavier and more focused with new EP “May Misery Befall You“. A 28th August release via Bleeding Art Collective, the promise is of something that muses on themes of grief, trauma and resilience while continuing to build serious momentum.

“This song is basically about humanity embracing its own collapse. The idea is that we’re already too far gone and you can almost smell the decay in the air before everything fully falls apart. The ‘blighted lord’ can be interpreted in different ways, whether that’s death, corruption or humanity itself. The line ‘apostates together, but dying alone’ is really important because even though society is more connected than ever, we’re still completely disconnected from each other. In a twisted way the song is almost making fun of unity, because the only time humanity truly becomes one is once we’re reduced to a pile of ash.”
