NEWS: Distant enter the black depths…

More punishing touring schedules means more punishing albums or so it seems as Century Media signings Distant prepare to drop new album “Into Despair” with a music video for the title track. The Dutch Downtempo Deathcore skull splitters don’t have long to wait for that to appear either with a 6th November release date pencilled in. First they’ll embark on a North American headlining run with Heavy//Hitter, Torn Open and Katywentmissing and then they’ll return to Europe…

The band comment: “‘Into Despair’ is the title track and one of the most personal songs on the album. It’s about depression and the feeling of spiralling deeper and deeper into a place where you can no longer see a way out. We wanted the song to capture that experience from the inside rather than explain depression from an outside perspective. It’s about being trapped in your own mind, watching yourself sink further, and wondering whether there will ever be a way back.”

You can catch Distant with Spite, Emmure and Mauled in Europe in the new year…
