NEWS: Morbid Intent warn of debut EP!

Inspired by the infamous Gothenburg Sound of Melodic Death Metal, a group of co-conspirators including current and former members of Mors Subita, Electric Deathbeat, Swansong and Se Josta Ei Puhuta started a new project. Formed in Oulu, Finland, Morbid Intent will release their debut EP “Marionettes” in 2026 via Inverse Records. In advance of that they share “Ashen Veil“.

The band comment: “Ashen Veil explores the distortion of reality and the illusion that wraps itself around the human mind like a veil of ash. The lyrics portray a state where the individual can no longer distinguish truth from falsehood – everything is obscured by manipulation and delusion.

Musically, the track combines crushing riffs, melancholic melodies and an intense atmosphere. The result is a dark yet captivating composition driven by both aggression and mood.

Ashen Veil serves as a gateway into the band’s upcoming Marionettes EP- release, offering a first glimpse into its central theme: the fragility of the human mind and the power of manipulation.”
