NEWS: The Cartographer make it two with “Greifworn”!
After a decade of destruction and a fistful of EPs, Derby quintet The Cartographer are preparing to unleash fresh hell in the form of a debut album “The Collapse of a Bitter End” on 18th September. A second advanced single from that has appeared in cyberspace in “Greifworn“, a bitter and bloody new cut that once again finds vocalist Jay Roberts getting up close and personal with an unfiltered lyrical narrative.
Vocalist Jay Roberts said that “Griefworn is the first track [guitarist] Josh Pearson presented to us when he first joined the band and we instantly connected to it. The pacing was perfect for what we were looking for. This track has become one of my personal favourites on the album because it’s a perfect example of our growth and where we want to take our sound as a band. [It’s about] the feeling of finding a strong connection with someone and having to let them go whilst questioning everything and what it was ever all worth”.
