An independent Alternative Metal band with 1.6 millions Spotify streams alone over 7 songs for 7 deadly sins? That will be Twin Skeletons who announced themselves on the scene with the colossal “Deadweight” in September 2023 and haven’t looked back since. March 2024 saw the arrival of their debut EP “Did You Get What You Wanted?” with the quartet self describing their sound as bubble gum doom… but what on earth does that mean?!

The answer to that is citing everyone from Periphery to Loathe and Muse to Thornhill as inspiration they’ve forged an Alternative Metal sound with flecks of heavier sounds lurking in the shadows. 2025 single “You & Me” is a fine example as what starts out as a kind of Paramore like love song turns into something where it feels like the lyrics are a play on obsession. Then before you know it bam! The whammy pedal moment hits and for a few seconds there is Armageddon. It’s moments like that which create gateway bands to the heavier sounds and there ain’t anything wrong with that!

Wait… why are the band called Twin Skeletons when they’re a four piece?! Good question! As two and two make five we can’t answer that officially but what we an say is that upon the track listing to 2015’s “American Beauty/American Psycho” album from Fall Out Boy there is a song titled “Twin Skeleton’s (Hotel in NYC)“…

We’re proud to be a Media Partner of Rabidfest again this year alongside Red Death Media, Moomin Merchandise, Chaos Under No Ties, Moshville Radio, GraphicsFix, TwoFace Promotions, Blackstar Amplification and main stage sponsor Devolution Magazine. The Festival is all for charity and this year the profits will be going to the The Sophie Lancaster Foundation!
