Rabidfest 2022: Breaking Down The Bands #1: Disinherit!

Following the monumental announcement that we are joining Devolution Magazine and Moomin Merch in partnering up with Rabidfest for this year’s incarnation of the event, it’s time to begin just one of our accompanying features. This one is all about introducing you to the bands that you need to see who you might not have heard of. So without further delay, it’s time to break down the bands, starting with Disinherit!

Walking out of the apocalyptic wastelands of the Midlands armed with their instruments of destruction and a collection of songs that blend elements of Death Metal, Metalcore and Hardcore in perfect alchemy, Carl Os, Carl Sheldrick, Tim Butler, Jake Coles and Mark Innocent are a veteran collection of musicians known for their work in other projects long before Disinherit was a twinkle in their collective eyes. Back in August 2021 they unvieled the first single in ‘Torment Torture Kill‘ from a still forthcoming debut album ‘An Obscene Collective‘, mixed and mastered at Initiate Audio by Neil Hudson (Krysthla, From Eden To Exile) and as the title suggests, it’s a darkly violent affair. Fortunately while the band only have the one studio single out there, they haven’t been shy in sharing a few live renditions with “Bow To You” and “Pleasures Defective” both surfacing on YouTube with decent sound quality… Oh and while we’re on the subject of Disinherit playing live, they’ve trodden the boards with Decapitated, Harbinger and Ingested in their time on this pale blue dot. So there you have it. The Festival will take place at The Bullingdon over the weekend of 5th and 6th November! The first 10 bands have been announced with tickets available here!
