NEWS: Sonus Mortis share a burden…

Following an artwork reveal and the first couple of reviews, the upcoming seventh studio album “Of Red Barren Earth” from Sonus Mortis has been granted another single. Titled “Reality, Our Collective Destroyer” it was mixed and mastered by Mick Richards at Trackmix Studios, the man behind the boards for the previous albums with the album dropping on 25th October. Pre-orders aren’t yet available but when they are they will be over at bandcamp.

Kevin Byrne comments: “”Reality, Our Collective Destroyer” explores the often harsh realities of life through the lens of mental health struggles, specifically inspired by an acquaintance who was suffering with psychotic episodes, self medicating and eventually committed suicide due to a complete lack of proper health services that can deal with dual diagnosis. The song was written/chopped/changed in 2014-2016 but found its home on the upcoming album ‘Of Red Barren Earth’, perfectly fitting the heavier themes it carries”
