NEWS: Dead End Irony get to the gone?
It seems that after a fifteen year long wait the debut full length album from Finland Heavy Metal act Dead End Irony will see the cold light of day in 2025. A fourth single from “Battles and Brotherhood” titled “Gone” has been released via Inverse Records with the label revealing the record was produced by Teemu Aalto (Insomnium, Ginger Evil, Marianas Rest). The band had only previously released a pair of EPs in 2015’s “Wounds That Never Heal” and 2018’s “Into The Void“, both of which are soaked in 80’s European Heavy Metal influences.
Lyricist and bassist Antti Vainio comments: “The song combines melodic elements with a hard hitting riff. There is a lot of repressed emotions in the lyrics. Gone is a song about what it feels like to keep fighting even when you know you’ve lost because you don’t know what else to do.”
