NEWS: Acrolysis run from inevitability?
The summer officially starts on 1st June which is why Australian Heavy Metal merchants Acrolysis have set that date as the one upon which they will give their sophomore album “Intoxicator” to the world. Building the hype they’ve chosen “The Inevitable” as the second single from that, a festival of melodic and harmonic groove with a serious heart. Thematically introspective, it gives deeply into the ideas of self reflection and regret, exploring the inevitability of the consequences of decisions that people make and in hindsight, how these consequences were almost a guarantee.
Vocalist and guitarist Konstantine Ana comments: “The song, ‘The Inevitable’ definitely talks about consequences and regret. I think we can all relate to the experience of making a choice, whether it be getting into a relationship, a job or whatever and ignoring the obvious negatives that sort of spell out why it won’t work. Yet, we choose to ignore them and go ahead with it anyway. Then, when the inevitable happens we look back and realise that it was always bound to go poorly. That’s what this song really is about. Ignoring the writing on the wall and making choices and decisions that won’t turn out well for us. And only in hindsight can we see that those choices were bound to lead to failure”
