NEWS: The Risen Dread premier “The Day I Died”!

Believe it or not, Dublin Ireland based Medal act The Risen Dread have already performed at Wacken Open Air in 2022, opened for Vader and Marduk for the United Titans tour across Europe and played an extensive South American tour with shows in Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil – all before they have an album out. Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Marco Mastrobuono (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance) at Bloom Studios in Italy, “Death from Above” will land on 13th June via Time To Kill Records with second advanced listen “The Day I Died” now streaming.

The band commented: “The song explores the unsettling reality of waking up to what seems like an ordinary day—only to unknowingly walk into death. There are no warnings, no signs, just the quiet inevitability of the end. Lyrically, the track captures the contrast between the routine of life and the sudden, unnoticed arrival of death. The music mirrors this tension, shifting between haunting melodies and crushing intensity, building an atmosphere of quiet dread before plunging into darkness. With its chilling perspective and powerful execution, ‘The Day I Died’ reflects on the fragility of existence, reminding us that the end often comes when we least expect it“.
