NEWS: Vanguardian get infected?

Uniting former members of Inkvistor, Finnish Mxtreme Metal band Vanguardian have been ploughing their own furrow to our craniums since 2019. After a prized pair of EPs in 2021’s “The Witchhammer” and 2023’s “The Heretic” the four piece have a debut full length album in the works which has been mixed and mastered by Valpur guitarist Jami Honkala (Curse upon a Prayer, Aganthros, Nameles). From that a single emerges titled “LI-2 XA-1” which may or may not indicate science fiction horror themes run through it…

The first conscious moment of life is an existential crisis. In the case of LI-2 XA-1, the first conscious moment is tinged with destruction and terror. The band explain: “The song is one of the most straightforward compositions on our upcoming release, full of aggressive command and rhythmic playfulness. LI-2 XA-1 underlines the theme of the forthcoming release by addressing the limits of consciousness, humanity and technological development. Blast this one loud!”
