NEWS: Ba’al fall into the well of sorrows!
Set to perform on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at this year’s incarnation of Bloodstock Open Air Festival, Ba’al are warming up by unveiling their sophomore album “The Fine Line Between Heaven And Here”. The Sheffield emotive Blackened Sludge purveyors chose to work with producer, engineer and mixer extraordinaire Joe Clayton (Conjurer, Dawn Walker, Ithaca) and mastering magician Brad Boatright (Kylesa, Vastum, Obituary). Adorned by stunning artwork from True Spilt Milk Designs (Urne, Allfather, Ante-Inferno) it will be everywhere that you’d expect it to be 18th July via Road To Masochist with “Well Of Sorrows” now streaming.
Vocalist Joe Stamps comments: “‘Well of Sorrows’ is a short story told through the perspective of the recurring dream of someone who has lost someone close to them through suicide. While drenched in grief, sadness and regret, there is also a lot of love contained within too”
Bassist Richard reflects on the overall album: “We’ve learned and grown a lot as a band in the years since our first album was released, and The Fine Line… really feels like an important milestone in that process. We poured a lot of ourselves into this, both musically and lyrically, and really pushed ourselves to both try some new things and refine the best of what has already made Ba’al what it is. This album has been a very long time in the making and we’re extremely proud of all the work we put into it. We can’t wait for people to hear it.”
