Volatile, unpredictable and deeply unsettling is how the debut album “Learning the Secrets of Acid” by Umulamahri is being described by those who have heard it in advance of its 1st October release via Ordovician Records. A desire to push the limits of Extreme Metal to new levels of depravity and more corrosive territories seems to be at the heart of the matter, the rank and file of formidable underground innovators setting a brutal pace. The band features Andrew Hawkins of Baring Teeth and Doug Moore of Pyrrhon, Seputus, Glorious Depravity and Weeping Sores.
