NEWS: Survivalist unveil “Failure Of Being”!

After playing Limerick, Belfast and Dublin with Heriot and Thy Art Is Murder earlier this month, a new single from Survivalist finds them gearing up for of a highly anticipated sophomore album, “A Place For Those Who Suffer, Alone…“. Drawing inspiration from personal struggles, mental health, and the chaotic state of the world, the band have  forged their own identity with a sound they call “Groovecore”, blending Metalcore and Deathcore with melodic intensity, massive riffs and emotionally charged breakdowns. Recorded, produced, mix and mastered by Josh Sid Robinson (Lock Horns, Uragh, Archives) at JSR Audio, this is one they like to call “Failure Of Being“.

Vocalist Gavin Sharp comments: “This song is about confronting the parts of yourself you’d rather ignore. It’s heavy, it’s honest, and it’s us at our most vulnerable — but also our most powerful.

Thank you to our good friend and producer Josh Sid Robinson for recording, mixing, mastering and throwing bars on this release. Many of you may not know but Josh is one of the reasons this band exists.

Lockdown was an uncertain time for the industry and we didn’t have a drummer at the time so Josh hopped in for us and recorded drums for our unreleased tracks.

We were very fortunate to be able to consistently release music over this period and keep growing unlike so many other artists which was heartbreaking to see. We owe that all to him. Thank you Josh, you are and will always be the fifth member of this band.

A massive shout-out to Gareth Doherty for the photography we have used on this release. Incredible work as always.

Failure Of Being deals with internal battles, the growing weight of self uncertainty and is a raw, uncompromising anthem for those of us who fight with our own thoughts everyday. You are never alone.”
