Returning to the south coast for this weeks entry in our Black Map of the UK Underground Metal Scene, we head to sunny Brighton. The home of Architects, mentioned in the Doomsday book as “Brighthelmstone” and a stones throw from Gatwick Airport, Brighton has been ranked as the happiest place to live in the UK.
In giving set closer “Song of Courage” it’s Wacken debut, German Metallers Walking Dead on Broadway showcased something from upcoming new album “Dead Era” for the masses. Long Branch Records signings Walking Dead On Broadway have released a new single from their upcoming new album “Dead Era”, entitled “Gospel of The Kingdom”. Portsmouth’s Sleepwalker [7/10] take the stage and get things started in tech-infused low tuned Metalcore style with frontman Sam Salkeld baiting the crowd (perhaps with that Southampton Portsmouth rivalry thing going on) before joining a circle pit.
17th August will see The Five Hundred release new album “Bleed Red” via Long Branch Records! The album had Justin Hill (ex-SikTh) at the helm, taking production, mixing and mastering duties. The effort has pre-orders available here and a music video for new song “Oblivion”.
