The Black Map #21: Silent Screams from Coventry!

Continuing our journey across the black map of the UK underground metal scene, we come to the fair city of Coventry. Perhaps the birth place of legendary figure, St. George “The Dragon Slayer”, patron Saint of England but more aptly the place that Chuck Berry recorded his No. 1 single “My Ding-a-ling”, doing so at Coventry Dance Hall. But we’re not here for any of that. We’re here for Silent Screams, a prime cut of British Metalcore talent. Having released a pair of albums in 2013’s “When It Rains” and 2014’s “Hope For Now”, the band are working on a new record, having signed to Long Branch Records and released single “Low” in late 2017. They’ve accumulated some impressive touring in their 11 years, including playing shows with Asking Alexandria, The Browning, Emmure and Parkway Drive. Having witnessed their impressive live show at Fat Lip Fest 2018, we can safely say their future is bright.
