Throwback: “Alaska” by Between The Buried And Me!
As Between The Buried And Me will be upon our shores in October for an “Evening With” styled show featuring a pair of sets, we figured it was about time we turned our attention to our favourite album of their back catalogue. You maybe surprised that it’s not the seminal “Colors” but for us, we fell in love with Between The Buried And Me two years earlier in 2005 with “Alaska”. The album saw a pair of former Glass Casket men in guitarist Dustie Waring and drummer Blake Richardson join the band alongside a new bassist in Dan Briggs in the fold alongside the return of the legendary Jamie King in the Production chair. From start to finish a wonderful and critically acclaimed 3rd Studio record, it’s one that holds up today as a masterpiece of Progressive Death Metal. So here’s the title track!
