Throwback: “Step Back” by Superheist!

The Metal scene is vibrant in Australia at the moment with numerous exports appearing on American and European tours left right and centre. Northlane, Polaris, Void Of Vision to name but three of the acts currently making big names for themselves internationally. There is a band however who blazed a trail between 1993 and 2004 who set the tone for today’s bands and didn’t quite make it to the major label success they deserved. That band is Superheist. Returning after 12 years with founding member and guitarist Richard William “DW” Norton the last man standing in 2016, they have since released a pair of albums. Their latest of offering entitled “Sidewinder” has seen former Devil You Know drummer John Sankey in the fold and a tour with 36 Crazyfists. The album that almost took them Global is “The Prize Recruit” from 2001 and from that brilliant record, “Step Back” is our cut of choice!
