Having witnessed Counterparts live show alongside 10,000 people at Alexandra Palace when they opened for Architects and then 7 months later at Upsurge Festival at London’s New Cross Inn, we can safely say that they’re sound is suited to the smaller stages. Brendan Murphy regularly loses the microphone to audience members snatching it for a scream along which just can’t happen at those larger venues and it’s a big part of their interaction with the crowd and the dynamic of their performance.
